Brief

Update the look and feel of the home by replacing the existing 15 year-old roller blinds with furnishings that create a modern and homely feel internally whilst still upholding the home’s era externally. Additionally, as avid entertainers, create an extension to the outdoor area via the installation of external furnishings that are both practical and in line with the aesthetic of the home.

Outcome

Roller blinds were replaced with plantation shutters using Two-Australia.
Wireless and USB-chargeable motorised blinds using Rollease Acmeda were used in the dining area and concealed with a pelmet.
External aluminium shutters by Two-Australia were used on the outside and created an extra outdoor area with dining and lounge seating. These shutters can be completely sealed to the weather and has now allowed room for entertaining up to 80 people outside comfortably.
Zipscreen and auto-awnings were used at the front of the home to reduce the heat into the bedrooms from the western sun in summer as well as retaining warmth in winter.
Interior design direction by Angela to create a custom home that was perfect for the family and their needs. To complement the renovation, Angela custom-designed the kitchen, bathroom and lounge area and had a bespoke L-shape couch made to maximise the room and TV credenza unit.
